Lets face it, life can suck. Things never go our way no matter what we do. There is a lot of pain in the world and in our lives. This pain doesn’t go away, it comes back to haunt you in the night and causes you to ask, “why?” I’ve experienced a lot of pain so far in my life, mostly as a result of my own bad decisions. I just kept digging my whole deeper until I hit bottom. Then came the “why?” questions. “Why did I do this? This is only destroying me. Why can’t I stop? Why do I always fail? Why? Why?”
It was at this point that Jesus Christ entered into my life. A certain pastor talked to me at a summer camp about Jesus and everything he had done for me. My mind was blown. “You mean there’s a way out of my own self-destruction?” I asked for mercy that night. And It was given to me. The journey from that night to now was not easy. In fact, I have had some of the worst times of my life during that time. But now, thanks to those trying times, I have an enormous amount of hope in Jesus. My life has purpose, and happiness. I would not rather be anywhere else, doing anything else.
Jesus loves you. He loves you with an overwhelming passion, so much so that he came to Earth to die for you so that you could have a relationship with him. All you have to do, is ask for forgiveness.
